What Is Hemp Seed?
Share
Hemp seeds are a nutritious food derived from the seeds of the industrial hemp plant. Naturiga's hemp plants, grown according to organic farming principles, are sourced from Lithuania, and their seeds are carefully separated and washed. The seeds, separated from their husks using mechanical methods, have a soft texture with white-beige and greenish membranes, and are pasteurized and packaged.
To maintain freshness for an extended period, it is recommended to store them in their sealed package, preferably in the refrigerator or a dry, dark cupboard, after opening. Hemp seeds, with their nourishing content and wide range of uses, are a valuable product for a healthy lifestyle and various dishes.
How to Consume Hemp Seeds?
Hemp seeds stand out for their healthy omega fatty acids and 31% protein content. There are many reasons to add them to our diet. Hulled hemp seeds have a mild, nutty flavor and offer a wide range of uses. Daily, 1-2 tablespoons (approximately 10-15 g) can be added to smoothies, fresh fruit and vegetable juices, oatmeal bowls, salads, soups, sauces, hot meals, sweet or savory pastries, and snacks. They can also be used in the production of plant-based milks (such as almond milk, hazelnut milk). Hemp seeds are also an ideal ingredient for homemade granola and energy bars.
How Much Hemp Seed Should Be Consumed Daily?
The daily consumption amount of hemp seeds may vary depending on a person's age, gender, general health status, and dietary habits. Generally, experts recommend consuming 1 to 2 tablespoons (approximately 10-30 grams) of hemp seeds daily. This amount is usually sufficient to obtain the nutritional content and health benefits of hemp seeds.
Although hemp seeds are a nutrient-rich food, it is important to avoid excessive consumption. Since each individual's daily nutritional needs are different, it is crucial to adjust the amount of hemp seed consumption according to your personal health condition and diet. Especially for beginners, it can be beneficial to start with small amounts and observe the effects.
