To make a delicious and gluten-free cocoa cake, all you need is Naturiga Cocoa Cake Mix, eggs, and milk or plant-based milk.
(you can also prepare it with water instead of milk if you prefer).
Prepared with Sorghum Flour and Carob Flour for your gluten-free diet preference and free from refined sugar sources, our mix has been made into a delicious blend with added Organic Cocoa Powder, Organic Psyllium Husk Powder, and Mulberry Powder. For your cake to rise perfectly, we only chose to use baking soda as an additional ingredient.
You can prepare an exquisite cocoa cake or mini muffins, or easily use it as a cake base for layer cakes by adding different ingredients.
PREPARATION:
Ingredients to add:
- 4 eggs
- At least 2/3 tea glass of olive oil
- 1 tea glass of milk/plant-based milk or water
- 1 full teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar
- In a bowl, 4 eggs at room temperature, 2/3 tea glass of olive oil, 1 tea glass of milk or water, and 1 teaspoon of vinegar are whisked with a mixer for 2-3 minutes.
- The entire packet of Naturiga Cocoa Cake mix is added to the whisked mixture and continued to be whisked for another 1-2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. You will get a dough that is not excessively runny but homogeneous.
- The dough mixture is poured into a greased cake pan or muffin molds. Bake in a preheated oven at 165 degrees Celsius on the middle rack for approximately 25-30 minutes. Baking time may vary by 1-2 minutes depending on your oven's power. You can check the doneness of the cake with a toothpick.
- After cooling, remove from the mold, slice, and serve.
- For making a vegan cocoa cake, you can use egg substitutes/aquafaba in an amount equivalent to 4 eggs.
Note: You can create completely different recipes by adding ingredients such as fruit slices, nuts, chocolate chips, or cocoa nibs into or on top of the cake mix.
