Quality and production
Acai berries grow naturally in the Brazilian Amazon rainforests and are hand-picked when ripe. It is the biggest source of livelihood for the local people. As it is a very delicate, fragile fruit, it starts losing its nutritional value within 24 hours after being picked from the branch.
For this reason, the cold drying process begins as soon as the acai berries are harvested. Acai is carefully washed before being subjected to the cold drying process. Then, it is cooled down to -40 degrees and the water inside is evaporated by gradually heating it without adding any additives or preservatives.
Then, it is ground and packaged.
Approximately 20kg of acai fruit is used to obtain 1kg of acai powder.
Once income began to be generated from acai fruit in the region, the cutting of trees to create agricultural land ceased. Therefore, every acai consumed indirectly prevents tree felling in the regions where it grows.
Why should I use it?
It is one of the foods that rank high on the ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) list. (The ORAC value in 100g of frozen acai extract is approximately 15,405, while the value for blueberries is approximately 4,669 points)

There is an important point to consider when buying acai powder.
Pure acai powder is dark purple, like the color of the fruit itself!
If the powder is pink, pink/brown, or a mixture of both, you may be getting some additives in the production stage, a highly oxidized product, or unfortunately both.
