What Ingredients are Needed to Make Soup with Nutritional Yeast?
Ingredients
1 Small Onion
1 Clove Garlic
½ Carrot
½ Celery
½ Zucchini
3-4 florets of Broccoli
½ Potato
4-5 Cups Water
A pinch of salt and black pepper
1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast
½ Teacup Olive Oil
Nutritional Yeast Soup Recipe?
First, wash and chop the vegetables thoroughly. Finely chop the onion, crush the garlic, dice the carrots and celery, and cut the zucchini and potatoes into small pieces. Heat the olive oil in a pot and lightly sauté the chopped onion and garlic. Then add the carrots, celery, zucchini, broccoli, and potatoes and sauté for a few more minutes. Add enough water to cover the vegetables in the pot, and stir in the salt and black pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat until the vegetables are soft, which takes approximately 20-25 minutes. Once the vegetables are well cooked, remove from heat and blend the soup in a blender or food processor until smooth. After achieving a smooth consistency, return the soup to the pot and heat over low heat. Finally, after removing from heat, add the nutritional yeast and stir until the soup is evenly mixed. Serve hot, and optionally, garnish with fresh herbs or a few drops of olive oil.
